Anyways, I got into the website: Ambitiouskitchen and then followed the precise instuctions that were accompanied by wonderful pictures of the operation. It really makes life quite easy. Almond Joy Snow Cream (lacking any ice cream machine) ~Sundays With Pleasure~
Week 11 of Sundays With Pleasure brought us to some recipe I have already been eying since We initial opened the publication.
Chocolate Protected Coconut Macaroon Snow Cream.
You can find layers of coconut flavor atlanta divorce attorneys section of this dessert making it every coconut lovers (like myself) dream.
I don't own an ice cream machine. My mom will and I have designed to borrow it for weeks right now but have however to take action.
We hate buying equipment that just has one work. We don't consume enough ice cream to justify an ice cream maker buy, and I don't want something taking up extra room.
So what's a woman to do when you need to make ice cream but usually do not own an ice cream maker?
I turned to my Sundays With Pleasure friend Tiffany from A Clove Of Garlic A Pinch Of Salt , once the group was assigned to create strawberry cookie dough snow cream last month (I was at KAF and also have yet to make it....) Tiffany produced this a breeze 2 ingredient snow cream you could add anything you small heart really wants to it.
It works! I know sometimes homemade snow cream lacking any ice cream floating island cake manufacturer makes you get snow cream that's anything but creamy... they have that glaciers crystal build up... or it converts solid like snow.
Not this super duper easy glaciers cream! Tiffany uses whipped cream and sweetened condensed milk to create hers. Because of this weeks recipe I wanted to utilize a great deal of coconut flavor in the ice cream therefore i used coconut milk like joy will rather than the large cream/whipped cream.
Why stop generally there with my adaptations.... allows add some almonds to make this like the best candy bar.
For the delicious chocolate shell Joy uses coconut oil which I thought I needed... but when I it emerged time to ensure it is... I did not. I subbed with veggie oil. I had fashioned to regulate the amounts because coconut essential oil is thick.
My hubby said it tasted exactly like the bag of chips just in snow cream form. I have to agree... it really did!
Almond Joy Glaciers Cream
1 may of sweetened condensed milk
1 1/4 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
1/2 cup of slivered almonds
For the Topping:
1/2 cup veggie oil
In your electric mixer whip coconut milk until foamy. Pour in sweetened condensed milk whip for 2 a few minutes.
In the mean time period toast your coconut. Sprinkle within a slim layer on the cooking sheet bake bake at 350 for 5-8 minutes. Mine took 6. After the coconut is really a light golden dark brown remove from range and cool.
Fold cooled coconut and almonds into the milk mixture.
Pour right into a refrigerator proof dish/container. Place in the fridge for 2 hours. Mix.
Return to freezer for yet another 2 hours.
Walla... you have ice cream!
For the chocolates coating, place chocolate and oil within a double boiler blend until it is melted and combined. Remove from high temperature and allow to cool a bit at room temperature. I let mine fascinating for 15 minutes.
Pour over glaciers cream servings.Chocolates should harden a bit as it reaches the cold snow cream. Joys was a harder chocolates shell where mine was even more fudge like and a bit softer... but it did develop a chocolate shell.
