As I lately have a little time, I was browsing on the web yesterday. Trying to get new, interesting tips, inspirational meals that I have never used before, to impress my family with. Hunting for a long time unfortunately could not come across too many interesting stuff. Right before I thought to give up on it, I found this scrumptious and simple treat simply by accident at ambitiouskitchen. The dessert seemed so delicious on its snapshot, it called for quick actions.
It absolutely was not so difficult to imagine just how it's made, its taste and how much boyfriend will love it. Mind you, it is quite easy to keep happy the guy when it comes to cakes. almond flour chocolate torteI've mentioned our Buche de Noels and Yule Logs on this blog a few times before but I've under no circumstances addressed it comprehensive. Here are all of your questions answered about these fun, festive desserts that we only bake this time around of year.
One thing you should know is our Buche de Noel and Yule Logs, like all of our cakes, are created FRESH and never frozen. If you order these for pick-up on Christmas Eve, we question that you plan a grab after 2pm no earlier because we will still be cooking and assembling them that very morning.
Also, because each Buche and log are handcrafted on the same day (and not pre-frozen like other bakeries!), we can only make a restricted quantity. Thus, pre-orders are required, and you wish to call as soon as can because we can and will sell out.
And yes, they are open to order for days other than Xmas Eve. We ask that you purchase a minimum of 2-days in advance for any day that is not December 24th.
Now, on to the dessert itself!
Exactly what is a Buche de Noel?
A Buche de Noel is a normal Christmas dessert made with sponge cake, rolled and decorated into a log, or perhaps a tree branch. As well as the gluten free almond cake recipe, we will also decorate the surroundings on the table with "mushrooms" and "fungi" shaped from marzipan. Holly leaves and berries, also made from marzipan, may also be positioned on the log with a plaque that reads "Noel." We can also inscribe "Content Vacations" or "Merry Christmas" around the log instead of "Noel", upon request.
What's the difference between a Buche de Noel and a Yule Log?
We always like to offer as much options as possible to our clients. That's why we offer both the Buche de Noel and Yule Log. Both desserts are a similar inside but while our Buche de Noel is definitely covered in chocolate on the outside, the Yule Log is simply decorated with fresh whipped cream. Both have become presentable sweets - simply depends if your guests prefer chocolates or not.
What flavors are they obtainable in?
This is my favorite part. Unlike various other bakeries that just offer one or two tastes for Buche de Noels, our bakery offers NINE. Nine different flavors to choose from for any dessert that may definitely get a guests ooh-ing and ahh-ing! I've starred the most popular flavors.

Light Raspberry Cream
Chocolate Raspberry Cream
White colored Amaretto Cream
Delicious chocolate Amaretto Cream
Kahlua Mocha Cream
Apricot Brandy Cream
Orange Custard Cream
Lemon Custard Cream
Lemon Rum Cream
The desserts are decorated exactly the same whatever the flavor apart from the Yule Sign in Kahlua Mocha. That's decorated having a cocoa whipped cream (below) rather than white.
